RITQ Sounding Board Workshop 1: Crafting a Research Concept Paper

The RITQ Sounding Board Workshop 1 is the first of a series of research capacity-building activities that the institute will organize to establish and sustain linkages with its partner institutions through collaborative learning and research. The series comprises the following topics:

  • Workshop 1: Crafting a Research Concept Paper
  • Workshop 2: Designing Efficient Research Instruments
  • Workshop 3: Decoding Themes and Making Sense of Numbers

Drawing on RITQ’s completed research and development projects, Workshop 1 provides practical guidance for novice researchers who wish to conduct inquiry into relevant areas of teaching and teacher quality. The two-day workshop uses professional learning circles, in which participants are co-learners with RITQ to develop practical outputs for use in their institutions.

RITQ Peer Roundtable on the Science of Learning

The RITQ Peer Roundtable on the Science of Learning will be launched as the Institute’s research-sharing forum for pre-service teachers. For its first implementation, the target participants are third-year pre-service teachers who are preparing for or have completed their practice teaching. The activity aims to share RITQ advocacies through its research and development projects and outputs. Drawing from RITQ’s completed project on the pilot implementation of the Revised Kto10 curriculum, the first Roundtable will be facilitated through peer-to-peer discussions on the fundamental principles of Science of Learning and their implications for learning design and teaching practices. The forum activities will also model collaborative expertise sessions as a viable strategy for teacher professional learning.
